This release continues Forte’s mission to connect restaurant operations and financial systems in one modern platform. From streamlining sales journal postings to QuickBooks and tracking inventory movements to building customized dashboards, these enhancements help restaurant operators and finance teams reduce manual work, strengthen operational consistency, and gain clearer visibility into performance across every location. ## **Smarter Accounting with Expanded Automation** Accurate, timely financial data is essential to running a profitable restaurant organization. The Fall release expands Forte’s accounting capabilities with new QuickBooks connectivity, improved transaction mapping, and better access to supporting documentation. #### QuickBooks Integration and Automated Sales Journals Forte now supports a direct API connection to QuickBooks, enabling organizations to securely connect their accounting environment, synchronize their Chart of Accounts, and configure transaction-to-account mapping rules. Sales Journals can then be sent directly to QuickBooks through the API, reducing manual data entry and helping streamline the accounting workflow. The integration supports multiple restaurant locations within a single Forte tenant, giving multi-unit operators a more efficient way to connect multiple QuickBooks accounts and visibility into Chart of Accounts alignment issues. #### Improved Processor Fee Handling Processor fees can have a meaningful impact on restaurant financial reporting. Forte now provides better support for processor fees in imports, reporting, and account-mapping rules to post these fees to designated general ledger accounts. This gives finance teams greater flexibility in how they track and account for payment processing costs while adding daily insight for operators. #### More Accessible Invoice Documentation Imported invoice images and PDFs are now attached to invoice journals, making it easier for accounting teams to review supporting documentation alongside financial transactions. Invoice amounts can be seen on the Ops Statement with drillable links to the invoice journal details. Imported invoice journals also include direct links back to their source systems, helping users move from a report to a journal entry to the original record without unnecessary searching. #### **New Daily Ops Report** A new Daily Ops report adds another way for restaurant teams to review operational and financial activity. Forte’s improved recipe management now supports date-specific and location-specific ingredients, giving operators greater control over how recipes are configured across their business.  This includes the ability to test recipe variations at specific locations, then compare sales trends. Bulk ingredient updates make it easier to maintain recipes as ingredients change, while bulk upload and download functionality helps teams manage recipe information more efficiently across multiple items and locations. These enhancements support more consistent recipe maintenance and provide a stronger foundation for accurate food costing and profitability analysis. #### **Track Inventory Transfers and Waste** Forte now supports entering and reporting on inventory transfers and inventory waste. These capabilities give restaurant teams additional tools to track inventory activity beyond purchases and counts. By recording transfers between locations and documenting waste, operators can improve visibility into how inventory moves through their business, investigate variances, and better understand the operational factors affecting food costs. Combined with Forte’s recipe management and COGS capabilities, these improvements help connect inventory activity with the broader financial picture and explain theoretical vs actual differences at the inventory item level.   ### **Streamlined Scheduling and Manager Approvals** Managing employee requests and schedule changes across multiple locations can create a significant administrative burden. The Fall release improves the scheduling experience for managers while making schedules easier for employees to access. #### **A Unified Manager Approvals Workspace** Forte has overhauled the manager approvals page to consolidate time-off requests, scheduling conflicts, and shift change requests into a single experience with a calendar view. Instead of reviewing requests across separate workflows, managers can bring these items together in one place and evaluate them in the context of the schedule. This improved visibility helps managers make informed approval decisions while keeping staffing needs and potential scheduling conflicts in view. #### **Employee Schedule Calendar Subscriptions** The Forte Employee App now supports subscribing to an employee’s schedule through Google Calendar or the iOS calendar.
